Unless you make an effort to preserve, or even grow muscle
whilst on a diet/calorie-deficit, you will inevitably lose muscle!!!
LET'S LOOK AT AN EXAMPLE OF THIS!!
QUESTION: Who Is This Guy???
ANSWER: Christian Bale
WHAT DID HE DO???
...He Lost A Lot of Fat!! ...
..He Lost A Lot of Muscle Too!! 😳..
If your sole focus is to lose weight and nothing else, you will (unfortunately) lose some (or a lot) of muscle.
If you’re a movie-buff, like me, you’d recognise the actor in the picture above is taken from the movie ‘The Machinist’ (2004).
To prepare for this movie, he went on an extreme calorie-deficit going from 173 pounds to 110 pounds.
To lose 63 pounds, the actor followed a crazy diet…that clearly worked .
For almost four months, he ate only one can of tuna fish and/or one apple per day..
“After filming 'The Machinist,' I lost so much weight that I could barely do a press-up! It took many months of very intense weight training to get the muscle back in time for 'Batman Begins' the following year!!"
So, What Does This All Mean??
It means that if you go on a diet, then you should try
your best to preserve as much money as possible!!
Quite simply, if you want to strip off that unsightly fat, but keep (or in some cases even grow) muscle, then you have to stimulate it!!
So, in a very small nutshell, to keep the muscle, you need to lift weights, eat enough protein, and sleep for England (or at least 6-7 hours).
…..IS THAT IT?….
OF COURSE NOT!!!BUT THERE’S ONLY
